Hepatitis Treatments

Hepatitis affects around 500 million people worldwide and while the disease is curable, the necessary efforts that it would take to treat all 500 million are not currently in place.

Sometimes a Hepatitis sufferer’s body will get over the disease by itself. However, for those less fortunate to have the disease become chronic (lasting longer than six months) there are several forms of treatment and cure. Serum injections and antibiotic courses are used to clear the blood of the Hepatitis virus and it is possible for every Health Organisation on the globe to use them. This is where the World Hepatitis Alliance comes in. They’re currently campaigning for hospitals and doctors to provide free treatment for Hepatitis, and for Health Organisations to set up treatment programmes to stop this deadly disease in its tracks.
