Time-out: Learning to Play the Guitar

Learning never stops and learning something aside from the lessons in class could help us ease the stress we get from the long hours of studying. We all have our own ways to cope up with stress and mine is learning how to play guitar. With a guitar at hand, I could strum all my stress away. It’s been three months since I bought my first guitar and after learning the basic cords and studying one song, I’m now raising my level to studying Guitar Tablature.

Studying the cords of the guitar is a lot easier than playing with tabs but playing the guitar is not just about strumming the rhythm of the song. A guitar tablature or tab is a sheet music made simple. It is not actually hard to learn how to read them. At first, you just have to know how to read it, and then have the heart to play the instrument and everything will follow.

Using tabs when playing the guitar enables you to bring out a whole, more particular and more solid music. The moment you learned how to read tabs, you’ll surely want to replace those typical strums into plucks of the instrument.
